Trademark rights for Beni Madonna are held by JA Zennoh. This is one of the fruits of the "Ehime fruit trial No. 28" grown and registered by Ehime Prefecture. It is produced in accordance with quality standards stipulated by Zennoh Ehime such as sugar content and acidity, and only those shipped by Japan Agricultural Cooperatives within the prefecture can be given this name.
Beni Madonna has a thin, smooth, dark red color skin and very soft flesh. Take a bite and its sweet juice and aroma will spread throughout your mouth. This citrus fruit also features a jelly-like texture that almost seems to melt in the mouth.
